The side effect of skin bleaching

Most women are very interested and excited about skin bleaching for the sake of their appearance. They will do whatever they can to try all the opportunities to lighten their skin in pursuit of fairer skin.

There is a big difference in the whole effect of skin brightening, no matter what kind of area is targeted, and the skin tone is good.

Safer ingredients, such as niacinamide and vitamin C, can moderately reduce hyperpigmentation.

However, Skin bleaching can also be very damaging to the body. Attempting to change the entire skin tone is often riskier.

It can lead to patchy, uneven pigmentation or hyperpigmentation that darkens certain areas of the skin.

Treating areas of hyperpigmentation is safe if a person uses methods approved by a dermatologist and avoids harmful substances.

The risks of bleaching the entire skin will be listed here:

1. Uneven skin tone

2. Irritation

3. Rash or eczema

4. Discoloration, etc.

A 2020 study found that many of the Jamaican skin bleaching products contain mercury and at levels above those allowed in the United States.

Even though mercury products are illegal, they are readily available. The World Health Organization calls this "a global crisis that is only expected to worsen as demand soars, especially in Africa, Asia and the Middle East."

Malaysia also bans chemical or illegal bleaching products to prevent Malaysian get serious side effects from skin bleaching.

Since 2008, Malaysian authorities have banned almost 200 beauty products because they contain too much mercury or other harmful ingredients like the bleaching agent hydroquinone and the acne medicine tretinoin. In Malaysia, products can only have up to 1 parts per million, or ppm, of mercury, which is a common ingredient used to lighten the skin. This is in line with what the World Health Organization says should be done.
